Pfizer Pulls Popular Drug Chantix for Cancer Risk

In July 2021, while people were focused on approvals of new pharmaceuticals, Pfizer issued a voluntary recall of the popular smoking cessation drug, Chantix due to its cancer causing ingredients.

The drug has been on the market for 15 years. It was Pfizer’s 8th top selling drug and generated sales of $919 million last year.

Now, many are seeking class action status to pursue damages for all consumers who purchased recalled Chantix pills.
