Well everyone, I have to say that my experience last night was one of the most memorable of my life. I know these pictures and videos can’t do it justice, but I’ll try.
It is also hard to express all of the feelings, emotions and goings-ons but I’ll try.One thing I can say is that most Americans LOVE America! As it should be. I see so much hate and disgust of America from the other side, it makes me sad. We live in the greatest country to have ever existed!
-Early estimates say there were 40,000-50,000 other people experiencing the same thing I was. That is a lot of people to descend on Rome, GA with only a couple days notice.
-All of us came 6-7 hours early to have the chance at experiencing the momentous event in history.
-Everyone was decked out in American flag attire, MAGA, attire, etc.-The energy was like nothing I’ve seen – positive, loving, and excited.
-I usually hate crowds because people are rude and annoying but this was different. People were kind and patient (6-7 hours of patience). It was refreshing.
-People were talking, chatting and making friends left and right.-There were people of all ages, creeds, races and religions (my favorite was seeing so many young people there!)
-There was the most beautiful moon as a prop for the event. It was a sight to see rising up over the giant American flag.
-They played the Ave Maria and the Lord’s Prayer by Andrea Bocelli.
-The first speaker, a congresswoman from Rome, GA ended with a prayer over the crowd, for our country and our President.
-To see Air Force 1 roll in was quite amazing. You never really think about these things but when you see it, you are very moved.
-The President’s message was inspiring and energizing as usual. They played a video with his litany of accomplishments at the beginning and it was unreal.I am tired but more excited than ever!
