Recently, all over the news, is the fact that the Biden administration is going to lift the emergency of COVID-19. This is quite curious for many reasons and I have a plethora of questions. (I apologize if this is a firehose of information but I am trying to make sense out of it in real time). As if things aren’t confusing enough, this is like a merry-go-round of nonsense. See if you agree…
1) Why is May 11 such a magic number? Does Covid naturally just disappear on that date or is it just some randomly selected date?
2) What about the vaccines and the Emergency Use Authorization Act? The vaccines are not yet approved by the FDA. The only way they were being used was under the Emergency Use Authorization Act. To my knowledge (and trying to get a straight answer on this is weirdly difficult), the ONLY FDA approved vaccine is the Comirnaty vaccine. However, based on much research in 2021 and 2022, it is my understanding that the Comirnaty vaccine is not being used, at least in the United States. Here is a great video about the comirnaty vaccine that dates back to 12/14/21 that explains this well . In case you aren’t familiar with the ins and outs of the Emergency Use Authorization Act, the only way the vaccines have been used to date, without FDA approval is because we have been under a State of Emergency. Therefore, if the State of Emergency is lifted, technically the vaccines cannot legally be used anymore.
3) So, is the FDA going to suddenly approve the vaccines?
4) Are there going to be different vaccines altogether?
5) Are there going to be lawsuits that are allowed to begin and move forward?
6) Are people really going to start paying for the testing and vaccines out of their own pockets? Up to this point, because of the EUA, the government has been footing the bill for all of the vaccines and testing. Either way, pharma still rakes in the money. so I suppose it is a moot point.
7) Are the covid vaccines going to get added to the childhood vaccine schedule as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) before May 11th? That was scheduled to occur in “early 2023” but is not on there yet. If so, they would first need to be FDA approved (see #3).
Why is this important? If the covid vaccines are put on childhood schedule, the vaccine manufacturers have no liability for any injury or death due to the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (NCVIA) that eliminated direct liability and created a no-fault compensation program which is nothing short of a joke.
